Sponsored Rider:  Elliot and Catie Holzman

Elliot and Caitie Holtzman own and operate Versatile Horsemanship, LLC based out of Gainesville, Texas. A combined foundation of horsemanship, experience, and education is what their business is based upon as they try to incorporate their formal and informal knowledge into their operation. They continually work to hone their handiness about horses through studying under more experienced horsemen in the industry. Together, the pair advance performance horses and competitive prospects, start colts, host and teach clinics, and compete in Stock Horse and Ranch Horse events, Reined Cow Horse, and Ranch Riding. Elliot is a 2014 Legacy of Legends scholarship recipient, 2018 SHTX Reserve Champion Junior Horse, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Reserve Champion Colt Starter in the River Valley Iowa Competition. Caitie attended North Central Texas College where she studied Equine Science and Management and went on to gain a Bachelor and Master of Science in Agriculture from Texas A&M University-Commerce. This year, one of their goals is to successfully exhibit and compete aboard some of their own and client-owned horses; such as three-year-old Quarter Horse stallion “Doctor Assets” owned by Crown 3 Ranch, and four-year-old Quarter Horse mare “Bobbys Walla Whiz” owned by the Terry Ranch.

Sponsored Rider:  Charlie Colella

Charlie has been involved in rodeo for the past 25 years, having competing in various events – including Bull Riding!  He entered the equine rodeo world with the purchase of a 3 yr old mare out of the Dash For Cash bloodlines.  After several years of competition on this mare, Charlie bred her during her retirement and she produced two outstanding foals.

Charlie’s current horses are his 12 yr old registered Paint gelding, Dashin Red Charger (out of his Dash For Cash mare), and his recent purchase, Stick L’il Bro, aka “Koda”.  Koda is a 6 yr old registered Paint, which he purchased as a 5 yr old and has been training himself.

Charlie trains his horses in multiple disciplines, including Barrels, Poles, Flag Race, Team Roping (head and heel), Calf Roping, and Team Penning.   His goal for the coming year is to expand Koda’s competition level in the barrel racing circuit and begin his roping training.

With regards to Crown 3 Equine, Charlie says, “Dr. Bridget Heilsberg and Crown 3 Veterinary Services is a vital part of my equine program.  The knowledge and care she provides to me and my horses is invaluable.”

Sponsored Rider:  Ashlyn Renfroe

My name is Ashlyn Renfroe, I am a 12-year-old Crown 3 Equine sponsored rider.  Dr. Bridget and Crown 3 have done so many wonderful things for me and my amazing barrel, pole bending, goat tying and breakaway horses. My three competition mounts are Dance My Way to Victory (aka Kitten), Pocos Feisty Gal (aka Cornbread) and Whiteboy.

This year I have set some big goals. I want to represent Crown 3 Equine at the Texoma Junior Rodeo Association Finals where I hope to win 3 Saddles in barrels, poles and goat tying. I have also set my sights on the bright lights of Las Vegas at the KK Run for Vegas (known as the Junior NFR), as well as the All In Barrel Race.  With the help of Crown 3 Equine keeping my horses in great health, I can see all of my goals becoming a reality!!!
