Julia Ann Dean
Julia Ann Dean, 64, of Whitesboro, Texas, was called to her eternal home on Thursday, September 4, 2025. She passed peacefully surrounded by her close family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Crown 3 Equine Veterinary Services Charitable Care fund, a charity in which Julie was quite passionate about.


Julia Ann Dean (1960-2025)
Julia was born on September 12, 1960 in Houston, Texas to William Guy and Maxine (Whitley) Barnes. She graduated from Crockett High School and then married Don Dean on August 3, 1980 in Austin, Texas. She worked for many years in the Huntsville and Madisonville ISD as a teacher’s aid to the technology department. She was a kind and loving mentor to many students who went through her classroom. Julia enjoyed crafting, gardening, cooking, traveling and llamas. Her favorite pastime was caring for and working with the horses they raised on their farm, especially when it came to spending time with the foals. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Don Dean of Whitesboro; daughter, Meagan Dean of Whitesboro; mother-in-law, Glenna Dorman of Whitesboro; step mother-in-law Kathryn Bacher and husband Clarence of Bryan; brother, Greg Barnes and wife, Jan of Round Rock; brother-in-law David Dean of Rockdale; sister-in-law Cheryl Palermo and husband, Jay of Whitesboro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her dearest friends Julie Knight of Madisonville, and Tina Lindner of Whitesboro, and Dr. Bridget Heilsberg, DVM, and the entire Crown 3 Equine Veterinary Services team of Whitesboro.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date.
